An Age-friendly Community is somewhere where local people come together to make life better for the people who live there, particularly as they age.

These places make it possible for people to continue to live in their homes, participate in the activities that they value, and contribute to their communities, for as long as possible.

Being Age-friendly means designing services and facilities with older people, not for them.
